Final Days in SF
Ahh, San Francisco…
I’ve grown to love this town. Sure, housing prices have doubled in the last 5 years, there are unpleasant homeless people everywhere, parking is impossible (and when possible, quite costly), and living in an urban setting is by no means easy. But, despite the challenges, I’ve become attached to this city and am sad to say goodbye. I’m thankful for the 1-year tour I took here. Among the many things I will miss are excellent restaurants, the diversity of people, and the historic landscape that we all take for granted.
I am looking forward to sharing a real house with Kelly, and embarking on another adventure so close to our state’s capital. I’m looking forward to having a yard for our dogs to play in, and a garden for those playing dogs to destroy with their rambunctiousness. Going to Sac state should be exciting, and telecommuting for my job should be better than going to the brick-and-mortar shop in SF.
To my friends in the SF area: I will miss being so close to you all. Please feel free to come to Woodland and visit; mi casa es su casa. And for those unwilling to travel, Kelly and I will be back in the Bay Area most weekends.
Cheers!
