I’m sad to report that our young cat, Giovanni “Monster”, has gone to live at a farm up north. We noticed several weeks ago that he was spending an awful lot of time in the litter box. After watching him more closely, we realized that he was trying to go potty but not succeeding. A couple visits to the vet and they said that he either had a sever urinary track disorder or kidney stones. The few years we’ve had Giovanni, we’ve had a love/hate relationship with him. When he was nice, he was a good cat. Sadly, that was a rare occurrence and he was a burden and a menace more often than not. So, when it got to the point where he needed emergency care we decided that it would be best to instead send him to that farm up north. The decision has weighed heavy on us and we wish that things could have been different.
